Senior System Engineer - Terminals Reliability

As Senior System Engineer in the Terminals Reliability team, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of the reliability of the Adyen Payment Terminals by making sure that technical requirements are properly established and validated and that processes related to product reliability are in place.

What you'll do:

• Manage Requirements: Define and manage technical requirements for terminals (system, hardware, firmware)
  


• Verify and Validate: Develop test strategies and collaborate internally and externally to ensure terminal compliance
  


• Manage Vendors/Suppliers: Oversee product development with suppliers, providing technical expertise and ensuring reliability accountability
  


• Reliability Metrics: Establish and monitor hardware reliability metrics for continuous improvement
  


• Conduct Technical Audits: Regularly assess vendors for adherence to industry best practices, processes and standards
  


• Collaborate Organisationally: Partner with Product and Engineering to enforce hardware reliability standards from design to deployment

Who you are:

• Master's degree in engineering or related fields
  


• 7-10 years experience in a similar engineering role at a tech company
  


• Expertise in system engineering, requirements definition and management, system validation, and reliability testing
  


• Hands-On Engineer:  experienced in engineering, demonstrating expertise in the field of  hardware, firmware and reliability testing and having the capability to establish or evaluate test methodologies
  


• Strong knowledge of Hardware and Firmware Product Development, manufacturing, and operations
  


• Ability to manage and drive internal or external projects
  


• Excellent stakeholder management, project management, and communication skills.
  


• Proactive, solution-oriented, and problem-solver mindset
  


• Collaborative team player

Nice to have:

• Experience in the Payment Industry and payment terminals is a plus
  


• Cellular and Wi-Fi networking knowledge
  


• Product Hardware Certification (Safety, EMC, Radio, etc.)
