As a Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and functionality of our cryogenic systems. In this position, you will be performing installations, maintenance, and repair of our cryogenic systems at customers’ site, so this position offers you the opportunity to travel (approximately 30% of the time). Your tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting complex technical issues and conducting preventive maintenance activities to maximize our system performance and longevity. In addition, you are collaborating closely not only with our customers, but with our own engineers and technical specialists as well and maintaining accurate documentation. You will have an interesting, versatile role at our customer interface in which you will succeed with a positive, service-minded attitude, systematic way of working and excellent people skills. We expect you to have a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field and proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of cryogenic systems or similar equipment. You have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, mindset for high quality and you enjoy working both individually and in the team. Local knowledge of related industries and players and Dutch language skills are seen as great advantages – those skills will help you in your daily work, but naturally you will be getting a full introduction, to be successful in this position. Main responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of cryogenic systems at customer sites. Assist users with using and optimizing cryogenic measurement setups in our Lab in Delft. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to cryogenic equipment. Collaborate with customers to provide technical support and training on system operation. Conduct preventive maintenance activities to maximize system performance and longevity. Maintain accurate service records and documentation. Collaborate with the engineering team to provide feedback for product improvement. Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Travel to customer sites as required (approximately 30-50% of the time).
