Financial Accountant

The position:

We are looking for a talented Financial Accountant to join Sympower's Finance team where you will be involved in a broad range of activities across several different countries.

As our organization is growing rapidly and we need to further professionalize our finance department. The next major steps are to bring more finance and accounting processes in-house and to further grow the finance team. We have a relatively small finance team, so you will be involved in a broad range of accounting activities across different countries.

What you will do:

• Be responsible for daily bookkeeping activities for companies within several European jurisdictions

• Own month close process for entities in your care

• Prepare VAT returns

• Prepare annual accounts and tax returns (in cooperation with local specialists)

• Assist and manage audit processes

• Own analytical review of your entities

• Work with wider organisation to understand and streamline information flows, build key relationships

• Continuously challenge daily processes to ensure efficiency within finance operations
  

What you will need:

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Finance/Business/Economics or similar

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience

• Proactive self starter who operates with a strong sense of ownership with the ability to work independently

• Organized team player with a keen eye for detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Good understanding of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

• Used to work with ERP system (NetSuite is a strong plus)

• Availability to work on a full time basis

• This role must be based in the EU, but we are open to exact location for a remote or hybrid based position
