This role –lecturer– holds responsibilities in both tracks of our sport studies bachelor's degree programme. Our English language track which is International Sports, Management & Business (ISMB) and Sport Management & Ondernemen (SM&O) track, which is taught in Dutch. Within these two programmes, students focus on sports, management, and business, in which sports is used to develop personal, managerial, and entrepreneurial skills. From sept ’24, we will also launch the master’s programme MSc Sport Business & Leadership (MSBL) - taught in English. We are also looking for teachers that have a background in sport business.

Creating tomorrow at the Faculty of Sports and Nutrition
The latest sports fields, gymnasiums, a state-of-the-art stand, a food lab and - of course - colleagues in track suits. Our faculty is bursting with energy and vitality. At our faculty, circa 250 lecturers and researchers are training the exercise experts, sports managers and entrepreneurs and nutrition experts of tomorrow. Faculty of Sports and Nutrition
The Faculty of Sports and Nutrition is one of faculties of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. The Faculty of Sports and Nutrition is strongly embedded in society and often leads and embraces the latest developments for the profession from the work field. The Faculty of Sports and Nutrition hosts five educational programmes: Physical Education, Sport Studies, Sportkunde, Nutrition and Dietetics and AD Sport Topsport- en Talentcoach. All five are known for their solid educational programmes, practice-based research, and inspiring teachers. The Centre for Applied Research Sports and Nutrition has three main research programmes. In addition, we will offer a Master of Science Sports Business and Leadership, starting 1 September 2024 which will be part of the portfolio of our MT together with our two bachelors.
Although we are one of the smallest AUAS faculties, our impact is significant. Through various projects and research programmes - e.g. in our Centre of Expertise Urban Vitality – we contribute to the vitality of the people of Amsterdam. Our faculty is also characterised by its international and informal atmosphere. There is no better place to work alongside energetic peers and students to achieve top performances!
Two Bachelor Programmes and one future Master Programme
We offer a programme called Sportkunde - track SM&O, taught in Dutch and Sport Studies - track ISMB, an international curriculum taught in English with more than 50 nationalities in our student body. In total we have around 1150 students and 65 members of faculty and staff. We are proud to be one of top sport management programmes in the Netherlands. SM&O and ISMB hold great appeal for both students and the sporting community. In September ’24 we will start with the MSc Sport Business and leadership, taught in English (last step in the procedure – accreditation with NVAO). This master has been developed with faculty of Sports and Nutrition and faculty Business and Economics. We pride ourselves on our talent development, innovative educational concepts and maintaining strong links with the international sport community and work field.
