Job Description - Logistics Manager

Here at MMR, we are looking for a Logistics Manager to join our team. This would be an ideal role for someone wanting to move from being a Supervisor to their first Site Manager position.

This role will be working for MMR but within Product Hub, our innovative agile research platform, powered by MMR.

About the role

As a Logistics Manager, you will assume full responsibility for product procurement, conditioning, and shipping logistics to support MMR operations. The key objectives of this role are to maintain product integrity, manage client’s needs and meet project deadlines, whilst controlling costs and managing and growing our logistics capabilities.

General / Product conditioning

  • Ensure record keeping in Logistics Hubs is accurate and timely.
  • Support new communication streams from, and ongoing development of Product Hub tool.
  • Act as key consultant to research teams regarding repackaging / relabeling options and advise on best process and lowest cost available in each scenario.
  • Work closely with colleagues and external product packaging and shipping partners as required to implement best practice process for procuring, repackaging, and shipping products.
  • Adhere to and develop relevant processes and procedures to maintain the integrity of physical products.
  • Maintain Support the development of the the logistics Hub site provision in accordance with applicable internal and regulatory standards. Act as primary point of contact for resolution of site management issues.


Product Procurement

  • Fully implement and enhance MMR product procurement quote process.
  • Provide quotes for product procurement to all teams as requested and oversee or complete all necessary procurement for commissioned projects
  • Keep research teams informed, (and act as direct liaison to client and FW agencies where requested) regarding timelines, product arrival, and any issues with procurement process.
  • Act as expert to MMR account and management teams on all issues relating to product procurement, brainstorming options, and jumping in to solve problems and troubleshoot any procurement issues no matter the region.
  • Complete expense reports and reconcile charges to projects, sharing final costs with research teams after each procurement is complete.


Shipping and Logistics

  • Work closely with external shipping suppliers to provide cost effective, and efficient product shipping services
  • Provide logistics support and guidance for any MMR project.
  • Maintain key cost information and update central systems as shipping costs change.

About you

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Prior experience in logistics management or supply chain operations
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to handling logistics challenges
  • Knowledge of agile research or the FMCG industry is a plus, but not required
  • The successful candidate MUST speak both fluent Dutch and English
