Pricing Coordinator

The Pricing and Tenders team is responsible for all incoming rate requests and the end-to-end

management and delivery of tenders and competitive quotes (regular and spot quotes) to existing

customers, account owners and the network. They conduct pricing analysis using global and local pricing

tools; recommend rates and price levels for day-to-day RFQ’s and adhoc rate requests as per set policies

and processes. The Pricing and Tenders team works closely with the commercial team, devising

measures to optimize revenue and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all rate request from existing customers (sea, air freight and road),

prospects and our network:

• Manage all incoming rate requests from all customers on a daily basis;

• Preparation of all rate requests (spot quotes, quotations and tenders) and delivery of a timely,

correct and value adding submission and follow up;

• Support the Sales managers by compiling value propositions, offers and quotes;

• Notify and instruct Operations when customer accepts the offer.

• Provide administrative support according to company and customer guidelines:

• Maintenance, registration and updating of opportunities and communication in applicable

systems (Next Gen and Salesforce);

• Maintenance of all relevant reports.

• Participate in projects, requests, and initiatives; Share best practices with colleagues;

• Remain up-to-date with market & product information.

• 2+ years of experience within freight forwarding or a role with a strong commercial interest;

• Good knowledge of freight forwarding processes and regulations: supplier conditions, delivery

terms, Inco terms, purchase conditions, risks and insurance terms;

• Excellent skills in both Dutch and English, written and spoken;

• Good financial insight (profit/loss, costs, etc.);

• Vocational (MBO) level or Bachelor degree;

• Excellent user of MS Office software, especially MS Excel.
