STIR Trader - Amsterdam

A global Investment Bank is looking to build out their STIR team in Amsterdam, so are looking for motivated and ambitious STIR Traders across a range of seniorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute trades in short-term interest rate products including but not limited to government bonds, treasury bills, and interest rate swaps.
• Develop and implement trading strategies to capitalize on market movements and generate alpha.
• Monitor market trends, economic data releases, and geopolitical events to make informed trading decisions.
• Collaborate with other traders, sales teams, and research analysts to share insights and leverage market intelligence.
• Maintain and enhance relationships with key market participants, including brokers, counterparties, and clients.
• Prepare regular reports on trading performance, market conditions, and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in trading short-term interest rate products. Please note, as this is a multi-hire campaign, they will consider candidates anywhere from 3-15+ years of experience.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, interest rate instruments, and macroeconomic factors.
• Proven track record of profitable trading and effective risk management.
• Proficiency in trading platforms and financial software (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Excel/VBA).
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and market information.
