As the Accounting Supervisor, you will oversee financial control activities with a focus on Dutch VAT, statutory accounting, and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely preparation and submission of statutory accounts, tax declarations, and income tax calculations while working closely with an international, global team to support our Dutch and selected international entities.

What you will be doing
You will oversee the financial control of accounts within the Financial Control Department, with a particular focus on Dutch VAT, statutory accounting, and income tax for various Netherlands entities and selected international entities. Working in an international environment and global team, you will prepare and submit statutory accounts, VAT declarations, and income tax calculations, coordinate with external auditors and consultants, and maintain ledgers for holding companies and small Spanish entities using Oracle ERP and spreadsheet tools.
 

Key responsibilities 

• Oversee the comprehensive financial control of all accounts within the Financial Control Department, primarily related to Dutch VAT, statutory accounting, and reporting.
•  Prepare and report statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with IFRS and applicable Dutch GAAP standards.
• Coordinate and interact with external auditors for statutory auditing requirements.
• Manage external reporting to Statistics Netherlands.
• Complete NL VAT declarations on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Calculate and manage income tax for NL companies/ledgers and assist with tax issues, providing detailed information to external consultants.
• Oversee ledgers for various holding companies.
• Handle financial reporting, including tax and VAT submissions, for small Spanish entities.
• Calculate and book quarterly bareboat hires.
• Arrange, coordinate, and follow up on tax certificates.
• Handle ad hoc accounting tasks and administrative duties as required.
   

Qualifications

• HEAO BE/BA or SPD degree with experience in accounting with NL VAT.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Sound practical knowledge of IFRS and applicable Dutch GAAP.
• Experience with tax, including VAT and income tax.
• Experience within a multinational environment.
• Strong spreadsheet and analytical skills, particularly in Oracle ERP systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and be well organized.
