As a technician, you play an important role in the testing of Dawn's satellite propulsion hardware and will carry out a range of specialist tasks in our workshop and cleanroom facilities. All systems are assembled, integrated and tested in-house in our Delft office and delivered to customers across the world.
Responsibilities
Execution of tests such as leak tests, pressure tests, environmental tests, etc
Preparation and execution of hardware tests at component- and (sub)system level, independently or with support from other AIT team members.
Building test setups and handling of measurement equipment.
Optimizing of AIT documentation such as test procedures and test reports.
Collaborate with engineering and quality to ensure all production data is accurate and complete.
Travel to customer facilities for support such as satellite-level tests should be expected, as well as travel to our New-Zealand facilities for knowledge transfer.
Required Qualifications
Experience with pressurised systems and pressure testing equipment (e.g. pressure regulators).
Experience with basic measurement tools such as multimeters and pressure gauges.
Ability to read and follow test procedures.
Being able to work effectively in collaborative team environments as well as autonomously.
Adapting to change quickly and positively.
Ability to follow and enforce basic safety procedures.
You are fluent in English
Desired Qualifications
Experience with propulsion (sub)systems, other satellite subsystems or experience from similar fields like aircraft assembly/maintenance and high-tech.
Working in a geographically widespread team.
Experience working in controlled environment such as cleanrooms.
