About the role

As an All-round Fashion Designer for Womenswear, you will work closely with the design team and other departments within the organisation.
You will translate trends, inspiration and commercial insights into strong collections that perfectly align with BEAUMONT’s DNA. Whilst BEAUMONT’s roots lie in outerwear, in this role you will contribute to the brand’s entire womenswear collection. From essentials to statement pieces: you will actively contribute to the entire creative process and, with your sense of fashion, materials and silhouette, make a significant contribution to BEAUMONT’s brand identity.
We are looking for a creative and commercial designer with a hands-on approach and a strong affinity for womenswear. Experience in woven fabrics is a strong advantage, as is experience with size specifications and technical product development. 

Key responsibilities

• Translating trends and inspiration into innovative and commercial designs that align with BEAUMONT’s DNA 
• Developing designs into clear technical drawings and product specifications for production 
• Jointly responsible for trend research and translating this into strong style and collection concepts
• Sourcing new fabrics, materials, trimmings and haberdashery in collaboration with the design and product development team
• Providing support during fittings and try-on sessions, and monitoring fit and quality 
• Ensuring structure and clarity within the collection through line sheets and collection overviews 
• Working closely with design, product development and production throughout the entire development process 

• A completed higher professional education (HBO) degree in Fashion Design 
• Approximately 2–5 years’ experience in womenswear or a similar women’s fashion brand 
• Creative and commercially astute, with a keen sense of brand identity and collection development 
• A strong affinity for trends, colour, materials and silhouettes 
• Good knowledge of fabrics, fits, qualities and product construction 
• Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and other design software 
• Fluency in Dutch and English 
• Proactive, curious and eager to learn 
• Team player with strong communication skills 
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team 
• Experience in woven fabrics is a strong advantage 
• Experience with size specifications and technical product development is an advantage
