Assistant ESG Manager

Reports to: ESG Reporting & Measurement Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of this role is to support the implementation of the ESG agenda through robust data, insights, and analysis. As a newly established company, this high‑impact role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the sustainability roadmap and to drive progress through strong cross‑functional engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate and identify optimal decarbonization solutions to reduce Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions.

• Independently lead decarbonization scenario modelling, including the development of Marginal Abatement Cost Curves (MACCs).

• Support the preparation of sustainability business cases and implementation plans to deliver the sustainability strategy.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure strategic alignment and support the operationalisation of the sustainability strategy.

• Implement AI tools to manage complex data and develop dashboards for sustainability performance management

• Identify opportunities to improve ESG data management and reporting processes.

• Deliver market insights and monitor emerging sustainability developments within the industry.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

SKILLS:

• Proficiency with data management tools & AI literacy

• Strong affinity with sustainability data analysis and cost modelling

• Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and adapt to changing demands.

• Proactive attitude and collaborative-approach.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:    

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sustainability‑embedded role, such as sustainability consulting or roles within manufacturing, procurement, utilities, or related industries.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in sustainability, energy, environmental engineering, or a related field, or a relevant specialization in sustainability.

• Demonstrated knowledge of decarbonization levers, the energy transition, and sustainability considerations within agricultural commodities or related value chains.

• Prior experience within the consumer goods industry is considered an advantage.
