AWS Infrastructure Engineer (Freelance)

This is a 1-year freelance assignment.

For the NN AWS Cloud Foundation Team we are looking for a skilled AWS Infrastructure Engineer who can help us improve and modernize our platform setup to enable the cloud capabilities for our customers. This job opportunity resides within Group IT, the central IT department of NN. The AWS Cloud Foundation Team delivers the cloud foundation (access management, accounts, security, networking and more) in a standardized and automated way at a very large scale (>700 AWS accounts).

What you are going to do

• Innovate while maintaining the stability and security of our platform 

• Keep an eye on AWS releases and implement relevant features to improve our platform 

• Continuously improve our automation to reduce the OPS work of the team 

• Run OPS and standby for the foundation every 5-8 weeks

Who you are

We are looking for a professional:

• With a minimum of 4 years of experience with implementing cloud solutions 

• With experience with Platform as a Service, scripting with Python and Infrastructure as a Code with Terraform and CDK 

• With experience working within large multi-account environments 

• Who is AWS Certified 

• Who takes ownership and who is not afraid to take on a task from start to finish, delivering real results and sharing the knowledge gained in the process 

Who you will work with

The team consists of 10 AWS engineers and the work atmosphere is professional and fun.

At NN we work hybrid. We combine working from home and working in the office. Teams can meet online or in person. You and your team agree on what suits you best. We have set up our offices in such a way that there is a suitable place for every type of work. The official location for this job is The Hague.
