Azure Network Engineer

• Designing Azure Virtual Networks (VNet), subnets, and network architectures
  
• Deploy hybrid connectivity via VPN Gateway and ExpressRoute
  
• Manage and optimize network performance within Azure
  
• Monitoring network services with Azure Monitor and Azure Network Watcher
  
• Configuring Network Security Groups (NSG)
  
• Provisioning and managing Azure Firewall and Azure Firewall Manager
  
• Implementing Private Link Solutions
  
• Applying Zero Trust Networking principles
  
• Supervising changes at suppliers
  
• Advising on network improvements and innovative technologies
  
• Drafting and maintaining architectural documentation
  
• Contributing to standards, guidelines and governance
  
• Automating network configurations with Infrastructure as Code
  
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
  
• Support with troubleshooting and incident resolution
  

Requirements

• HBO/WO working and thinking level
  
• Relevant Azure certifications, e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
  
• At least 1.5 years of experience within a management team between organization and supplier
  
• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience with Azure networking services such as VNet, NSG, VPN Gateway, and Application Gateway
  
• At least 1.5 years of experience with hybrid environments
  
• Experience with DNS, IP addressing, and load balancing
  
• At least 3 years of experience within a complex government organization
  
• Fluent command of the Dutch language
  
• Experience with Azure network architectures and cloud connectivity
  
• Experience with network security within Microsoft Azure
  

• Experience with Terraform, Bicep or ARM Templates
  
• Experience with Azure CLI and PowerShell
  
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD processes
  
• Knowledge of Azure Policy and cloud governance
  
• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud
  
• Experience with DDoS Protection
  
• Experience with Wireshark for network diagnostics
