Job Description

In this role of Business Process Expert, you will ensure robust and compliant, Finance Standard Processes & Governance capabilities by owning the E2E process design, readiness, and adoption.

Your role:

1. Process & Capability Ownership

• Own and evolve complex Finance Process Standards & Governance capabilities for Business, Region & Zones and Function organizations, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements (IFRS & Local GAAP).

• Define and maintain the Finance Process Standards & Governance capability roadmap, focusing on the proper embedding of the Finance processes in the S4 HANA template.

• Address Finance process pain points to be resolved in the design phase of the Finance Process Standards & Governance.

2. E2E Design & SAP Alignment

• Drive and Co-create fit-for-purpose Finance standard processes to be embedded in S4 HANA and the Philips Process Framework.

• Ensure proper build up of the Finance Standard Processes in the S4 HANA template and evaluate the system integration together with Finance BPOs and BPEs as well as SCM BPOs and BPEs

• Ensure strong alignment between:

  • SAP S4 HANA functionality

  • Finance Standard processes

  • Job families and roles

  • KPIs and compliance control dashboards

• Actively contribute to SAP S4 HANA implementations, enhancements, and upgrades with respect to Finance Standard Processes & Governance for the Finance functions RTR, PTP and C&C.

3. Deployment, Change & Adoption

• Ensure Finance Standard Processes & Governance deployment, including:

  • Change management

  • Stakeholder management

  • IFRS and Local GAAP compliance

  • Alignment between Financial & Management Accounting and Reporting.

  • End-user training (Key users to become trainers)

  • Intelligent process mining to measure and monitor adoption.

4. Performance Management & Governance

• Establish and maintain Finance Standard Processes & Governance capability performance and adoption reporting, linked to agreed targets and operational domain KPI’s.

• Develop dashboards to track Finance Standard Processes & Governance process health, risks, and improvement opportunities.

• Drive controlled changes via the Change Control Board, ensuring consistency in the finance process standardization, documentation, training materials, and work instructions.

5. Continuous Improvement & Ways of Working

• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, Agile and similar methodologies to improve Finance Standard Processes & Governance, quality, and user experience.

• Act as a connector across functions, facilitating collaboration and alignment.

• Contribute to capability maturity and long-term scalability of the Finance Standard Processes & Governance to be deployed globally.

What Success Looks Like (6–18 months)

• Clear, adopted Finance Process Standard & Governance processes meeting internal and external requirements for the S4 HANA proof of concept and subsequent for deployments.

• Transparent Finance Standard Processes & Governance capability dashboards used by leadership to monitor the Finance processes and its risks.

• Touchless Finance processes supported by new technologies like RPA and AI.

You are the right fit if you have:

• Higher education.

• 7+ years of experience in different Finance domains, SAP Operational experience, combined with process improvement and automation, project, and or change management experience.

• Deep hands‑on understanding of SAP End2End Finance processes in complex environments in the Business, Regions & Zones and Functions.

• Proven hands-on SAP FICO or S4 HANA experience preferred.

• Experience with operational finance processes SOx controls.

• Lean Six Sigma certification (or equivalent).
