What You’ll Be Doing
As a key member of the Breeding Nursery team, you will:
Support day‑to‑day crop production across glasshouses, tray fields and long cane fields.
Monitor plant development, including irrigation, nutrition, and early detection of disease symptoms.
Plan and coordinate labour needs, ensuring the right number of workers are assigned to key activities.
Supervise work crews during critical tasks such as planting, transplanting and harvesting to maintain traceability and avoid mix‑ups.
Identify and report technical issues in the facilities and determine whether internal or external support is needed.
Manage inventory of growing materials (substrates, trays, pots, etc.) and place orders as required.
Support budgeting for key operational items such as workforce, substrates and plant production.
Oversee proper loading and unloading of trucks for Breeding Nursery shipments.
Perform plant quality checks during cold storage.
Build strong working relationships with DPlant and other partners.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
Minimum MBO level or equivalent technical qualification.
At least one year’s experience in the agricultural production sector.
Experience with strawberry or cane fruit nurseries is desirable, but not essential.
Skills & Attributes
Strong communication skills; responsible and trustworthy.
Hands‑on, resourceful and proactive approach.
Practical problem‑solving and basic maintenance (bricolage) skills.
Ability to drive results and work effectively with teams.
Languages
Required: English
Advantageous: Dutch or Polish
Additional Requirements
Required: European Category B driving licence
Preferred: Spraying licence or forklift licence
