Business Analyst

We ARE Renewables is looking for a Business Analyst for one of our clients in the energy sector.

As a Business Analyst at NS IT Stations, you work on the digital support of services such as OV-fiets, bicycle lockers, P+R, and maintenance processes at stations. You investigate complex issues, map out business needs, and translate these into concrete IT solutions.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Mapping processes, chains, and dependencies between systems and teams;

Analyzing business issues and translating them into business value;

Gathering, elaborating, and prioritizing requirements;

Drafting business cases and impact analyses;

Organizing workshops and stakeholder discussions;

Connecting business, management, and IT during implementations;

Identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation within the IT landscape.

Key Requirements

Minimum higher professional education working and thinking level;

At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Information Analyst, or consultant;

Experience with requirements engineering, business analysis, and business cases;

Strong analytical skills and experience in complex IT environments similar to NS (at least 5,000+ workstations);

Experience within an IT/OT environment;

You have an excellent command (both spoken and written) of the Dutch language;

You are available for this assignment immediately;

You are preferably at the office in Utrecht 2 days a week;

You preferably have experience with ServiceNow and SAP Operations;

Experience with Agile/Scrum is a plus;

Strong communication skills and stakeholder management;

Independent, agile and result-oriented;

Location: Utrecht + Hybrid

Duration: September 2026 – December 2026 (Extension is possible)
