Job Description - Business Development Manager - Maritime

Your mission

At COBBS, you’ll build on a proven foundation, trusted for over 20 years as a Tier 1 supplier, while shaping your own path to impact.

Your profile

The role
You operate at the front edge of COBBS’ maritime domain.
You identify where capability is missing and shape opportunities into concrete programmes and results. You engage early, before requirements are formalised and contribute to direction and solution development.
 
What you do
  • Identify capability gaps and develop early-stage opportunities within the maritime Defence domain.
  • Engage with operational units, staff organisations and procurement stakeholders.
  • Translate operational needs into feasible and compliant solution directions.
  • Position COBBS and its partners in emerging programmes and capability developments.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure feasibility, alignment and deliverability.
  • Represent COBBS in briefings, demonstrations and international engagements.
  • Monitor doctrine, threat developments and relevant technologies.
 
You
  • Have an operational background in the maritime domain and understand how things actually work at sea.
  • Bring a strong network across the maritime domain, within both Defence and industry, and know how to activate it.
  • Take ownership and drive progress, while understanding that results are created as a team. Collaboration is essential.
  • Are able to align stakeholders, build trust and maintain credibility in a regulated environment where compliance and long-term relationships matter.
 
Available approximately 16-24 hours per week and willing to travel internationally.
