Due to significant growth in the Netherlands, WSP wants to strengthen the expertise of our BU Power and Energy Team based in either Rotterdam or Arnhem.

We are looking for a Cable Engineer that likes to focus on high voltage European projects. In this role, you will join a multidisciplinary team that embodies our companies core values: solidarity, a passion for large scale and complex projects, and a spirit of innovation and conviviality.

What does your new role look like?

• We are looking for an expert and specialist within their field to support with a number of complex high voltage projects


• You will be responsible for being the technical expert liasing between our clients and your colleagues


• Designing and calculating new cables


• Calculating and presenting new proposals to clients


• Working closely with the team and sharing solid technical knowledge


• Develop layouts for high voltage cable systems


• Ensure all work meets safety and industry standards

This is your team

Working within a wider team of 30 this role reports into the Team Lead.

It is a proactive and diverse team that is focused on collaboration. You will be working on some complex high voltage projects both national and across the European space.

What do we like to see in you?

• HBO/Bachelors Degree or a similar qualification within Electrical Engineering


• 5+ Years experience within Electrical Engineering


• A proactive solution driven mindset


• Ability to collaborate effectively with Internal and external stakeholders


• Solid knowledge of European Legislation surrounding Cable Engineering


• Experience with High Voltage cables is essential

Our Recruitment Process

1. Phone interview: We start with a phone interview with Talent Acquisition to get to know you better and discuss your experience.


2. Manager Interview: You will meet with our team and the head of department to assess your technical and cultural skills.


3. Interview with the Business Unit Director: You will have a meeting with the Business Unit Director to discuss your potential role and our strategic vision.
