Job Description - Chef de Partie at Casual Restaurant (Seasonal)

Job Title: Chef de Partie

Location: Otterlo, Netherlands

Salary: 2800 euros gross per month

Accommodation: provided in a shared apartment for 600 euros per month

Job Function:

As a Chef de Partie at our restaurant located in a natural national park, you will play a pivotal role in our culinary team, contributing to the creation and delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards specified by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef. This includes but is not limited to, meat, fish, sauces, vegetables, and other items assigned to your station.
  • Station Management: Take ownership of your designated station in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented according to established procedures and timelines. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stock levels at your station throughout service.
  • Quality Control: Monitor food quality and consistency, ensuring that all dishes leaving your station meet the hotel's standards for taste, presentation, and portion size. Take corrective action as necessary to address any issues promptly.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation during service. Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate preparation, timing, and execution of dishes.
  • Adherence to Standards: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, as well as hotel policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment at all times, including personal hygiene and the cleanliness of your workstation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Seek opportunities for improvement in your culinary skills and knowledge. Participate in training programs and workshops as required to enhance your proficiency and contribute to the overall success of the kitchen team.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Culinary qualifications or relevant training from a culinary school or institution.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast -paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
