City of Phoenix Summer Job

This position is with the City of Phoenix Recreation and Parks Division - it runs from June 3rd - Aug 2nd with Sundays off. There is no overtime and employees will not work more than 40 hours per week.

Level l: This position assists with sports or class instruction to youth or teens; includes scheduling, preparation, set up, instruction and clean-up of area. This position may include working sports; cultural or recreation-based classes and events; supervising field trips; serving and reporting meal program. Must be able to work with City staff and groups of all ages and various ethnic backgrounds. This position works under the direction of a Summer Recreation Staff ll/lll, Recreation Coordinator, Programmer or Leader. Pays 8.27/hr

Level ll: This position leads sports or class instruction to youth or teens; includes scheduling, preparation, set up, instruction and clean-up of area. This classification may include working sports; cultural or recreation-based classes and events; supervising field trips; serving and reporting meal program. Must be able to work with City staff and groups of all ages and various ethnic backgrounds. This position works under the direction of a Summer Recreation Staff lll, Recreation Coordinator, Programmer or Leader. Pay $8.60/hr

Level lll: This position will perform recreation work in a lead or supervisory capacity in charge of a sports activity, event, or major program areas. This position level may also possess a very specialized skill or certification in a particular recreation discipline (dance, ballet, art, karate, etc). Must be able to work with City staff and groups of all ages and various ethnic backgrounds. This position may serve in a supervisory/lead capacity over Recreation Staff ll/lll. This position works under the direction of Recreation Coordinator, Programmer or Leader. Pays $9.00/hr
