About the role


The Communications Team Lead is responsible for creating and executing adequate communication about the programs, fundraising and any other corporate external communication, in line with organizational policies and priorities.



The role involves managing external communications, editing executive content, promoting brand positioning and managing the Communications function throughout the organization. It ensures effective dissemination of company information through various channels and measures communication impact.



Purpose of the role


Develop and implement global communication strategies to enhance brand visibility and stakeholder engagement. Ensure consistency in messaging across platforms, manage content creation, and support organizational goals through effective communication. Content management of the Communication function and team, including communications staff in projects (up to 15 FTE).



Responsibilities and duties



  • Create and edit communication content for internal and external platforms.

  • Execute communication plans and ensure adherence to guidelines.

  • Manage brand positioning and contribute to brand development strategies.

  • Collect and analyze customer feedback and communication metrics.

  • Prepare and edit documents for publication.

  • Support project and portfolio management activities.

  • Guide team alignment and manage performance standards.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational communication policies.

  • Content development and publishing proficiency.

  • Media and public relations management.

  • Project and campaign management skills.

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English. Dutch, German, Spanish is a plus



Education and experience



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level.

  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in communications or public relations.

  • Minimal of 3 years of managerial experience supervising teams and processes.
