The Configuration Associate Team Lead is responsible for providing functional and technical leadership
to Distribution Center Configuration Associates and temporary workers, as well as performing repair
activities within area of responsibility. Leads Configuration associates and temporary associates within
area of responsibility. Provides backup support to Configuration Supervisor.
• Acts as a SME for assigned work area. Trains employees on work process. Acts as an escalation
point for novel problems.
• Demonstrates Zebra’s core values consistently and strongly. Is seen as a role model for others.
• Directs day-to-day operations in area of responsibility during all scheduled work hours.
• Coordinates daily morning meetings to review line performance, quality issues, or other relevant
topics.
• Monitors status regarding Turn Time, Quality, and Productivity goals for area of responsibility.
• Runs reports and analyzes data to assist with directing day to day operations.
• Escalates identified issues to Supervisor.
• Assists with performing work methods and cost analysis to identify needs for process
improvements.
• Actively suggests and participates in continues improvement projects.
• Ensures that company policy, safety regulations, compliance with ISO 9001 standards, and
housekeeping practices are followed.
• Troubleshoots escalated repair issues and provides feedback to Supervisor.
• Ensures Zebra’s property is properly handled safely and appropriately from receipt to shipment.
• Monitors status parts shortages and informs supervisor of potential stock outs.
• Develops and documents work procedures to perform daily operations consistently.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education:
• High school or equivalent
Minimum Work Experience (years):
• 4-6 years
Key Skills and Competencies:
• Strong working knowledge of Zebra products with ability to troubleshoot and perform hands-on repairs
• Sound working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles, 5S, Continuous Improvement, and ISO
9000.
• Good leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to mentor staff.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good problem solving, decision-making, and process improvement skills.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to read and comprehend Build of Materials (BOM) and mechanical drawings.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 35 lbs.
