Corporate Legal Counsel

Your goal

As Corporate Legal Counsel, you will play a central role in supporting the continued expansion of Marktlink across Europe. A key focus of this role is the legal establishment of new entities and offices in multiple jurisdictions, ensuring that our international growth is supported by robust legal structures and governance. In addition, you will advise the business on a broad range of corporate, commercial and compliance-related matters. This is a hands-on and wide-ranging role for a lawyer who enjoys variety, takes ownership and feels comfortable operating in a fast-growing international environment. You will work closely with the CFO and other senior stakeholders across the organisation, as well as with external legal advisors in different jurisdictions.

Your responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating the legal set-up of new entities and offices across Europe;

• Managing external counsel in various jurisdictions and translating local legal advice into pragmatic guidance for the business;

• Supporting international expansion projects from a corporate governance and legal structuring perspective;

• Managing corporate housekeeping and governance for entities across the Marktlink Group;

• Advising management and internal stakeholders on corporate, commercial and general legal matters;

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements and legal documentation;

• Monitoring legal and regulatory developments relevant to the organisation and helping implement required changes;

• Advising on governance, compliance, privacy and risk-related matters;

• Contributing to the further development of internal legal frameworks, templates and processes;

• Increasing legal awareness across the organisation through practical guidance and training;

This position reports directly to the CFO. The role is focused on corporate legal support, international expansion and governance. It does not involve leading M&A transaction execution.

Your profile

You are a pragmatic, business-oriented legal professional who enjoys working across a broad range of topics, with a particular interest in international corporate structuring and growth. You are comfortable taking ownership, coordinating multiple stakeholders and helping build legal foundations in a dynamic organisation.

You bring:

• A Master’s degree in Law;

• 5 to 8 years of relevant legal experience, gained in private practice, in-house, or both;

• Strong experience in corporate law, legal entity management, governance and/or international corporate structuring;

• Experience working on cross-border matters and coordinating external counsel;

• The ability to operate effectively in a broad and hands-on legal role;

• Strong analytical, drafting and stakeholder management skills;

• A proactive mindset and the ability to build structure in a fast-growing environment;

• Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written;

Experience with commercial contracting, compliance frameworks, GDPR and employment-related legal support is considered a plus.
