Are you a data-driven storyteller who knows how to turn users into superfans? ROMEO, one of the world’s leading gay dating platforms, is hiring a CRM Manager to join our Communication & Marketing team at our HQ in Amsterdam.

About the role

We're looking for a creative, hands-on CRM expert who thrives on building smart, automated journeys that increase user retention, reactivate inactive users, and drive conversions to ROMEO PLUS

As CRM Manager, you'll take ownership of our lifecycle marketing, from planning and segmentation to copy and performance analysis. You'll work closely with the communications team to align campaigns with product launches, commercial offers, and user retention & acquisition goals.

What you'll do

Reporting to the head of communication and marketing, you will co-build and and own the CRM strategy across email, push, and in-app channels
Develop and optimize lifecycle campaigns to boost user engagement
Reactivate inactive or lost users with targeted re-engagement flows
Increase free-to-paid (PLUS) conversion rates
Create upsell opportunities that feel natural and relevant
Analyse performance and make data-driven improvements
Define CRM KPIs and own monthly reporting
Bring technical expertise and best practices to help establish CRM as a core function, including tool setup, system structure, and integration with other platforms at ROMEO, such as Zendesk and internal admin tools
Understand user acquisition funnels and how CRM strategies can support long-term growth and retention

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience in CRM strategy, user engagement, and retention marketing - with a focus on optimizing user funnels
Proven track record in retention and user engagement strategy
Technical know-how to set up and scale CRM tools
Experienced with segmentation, tagging, and automation logic
You’re both creative and analytical, with strong writing and segmentation skills
Able to manage multiple campaigns and adapt quickly
Familiar with user acquisition strategies to support digital marketing
AI tools savvy, we encourage the use of AI tools at ROMEO
Fluency in English is required; additional skills in German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or French are a plus
Relevant experience in dating apps or LGBTQ+ platforms is a big plus

What we offer

Full-time position in our centrally located HQ in Amsterdam near Central Station with stunning city views
You start with a 12-month temporary contract (with the intention of longer term)
Salary range €4000 - €4500 bruto per month (excl. holiday pay), depending on past experience
