About the role  

As a Data Platform Engineer at RevoData, you work on complex client projects where you design, build and optimise Databricks-based Data & AI platforms. You’re comfortable owning the platform foundation end-to-end. From infrastructure and security to automation and scalability - and you enjoy helping teams adopt best practices. 

What you'll do 

• Design and deliver scalable, secure Databricks platform setups tailored to each client 

• Build reliable infrastructure and deployment patterns using Infrastructure as Code 

• Set up and improve CI/CD workflows to enable repeatable, automated deployments 

• Support platform reliability through networking and security best practices 

• Collaborate closely with data engineers, ML engineers, and stakeholders to ensure the platform supports real use cases 

• Contribute to improving RevoData’s platform standards, templates and ways of working 

What you bring  

• You have built flexible, scalable, and resilient Data & AI platforms on at least 4 projects (architecture, deployment, and/or optimisation). 

• Hands-on experience with Databricks platform engineering (setting up and improving Databricks environments for production use). 

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform and Terragrunt. 

• Proficiency in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or equivalent). 

• Skilled in Python & SQL. 

• Knowledge of cloud networking fundamentals (VNet/VPC integration, private endpoints, peering, DNS configuration). 

• Awareness of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management principles. 

• Adaptable and comfortable managing multiple priorities across different client projects.

*Proficiency in Dutch is required, with exceptions for candidates who are Databricks certified and have advanced experience on the platform.

• We are open to hiring at Senior or Principal level. The Senior salary range is €65,000-€90,0000, and Principal is €90,000-€110,000 per year. As part of the hiring process, candidates are benchmarked during the technical assessment. If your skills and experience align more closely with a different level, we will discuss the corresponding salary band with you.
