At Airborne, we are looking for a Design & Process Engineer who will contribute to the development of composite products and tooling while ensuring smooth and efficient production processes. In this dual role, you will be responsible for both product and tooling design as well as process optimization within composite manufacturing. Initially, your primary focus will be on design-related tasks, but over time, the role will transition more towards process engineering and continuous improvement. You will work closely with engineers, production teams, and project managers to bridge the gap between design and manufacturing. You will report to the Manager Engineering & Projects and collaborate closely with design engineers, process engineers, project managers, quality specialists, and production teams.
Create 3D models and production drawings of composite products and tooling.
Ensure designs are cost-effective and manufacturable.
Collaborate with process engineers and production teams to validate designs.
