Job Description - DevOps Automation Engineer

Help design, build and continuously improve the clients online platform.

Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards.

Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products.

Be a productive member of the team.

Requirements

Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventories to automate infrastructure and application management tasks.

Implement and manage Git-based workflows using GitLab or GitHub, including version control, branching strategies, and CI/CD integration.

Integrate automation solutions with orchestration and scheduling platforms such as Rundeck, Ansible Tower/AWX, and Jenkins.

Develop and maintain YAML configurations and Jinja2 templates to enable scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks.

Create and enhance Python scripts to support automation workflows, validations, and custom Ansible modules.

Troubleshoot automation failures, perform root cause analysis, and optimize reliability, performance, and execution efficiency.

Collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to implement automation best practices and standards.

Ensure automation solutions comply with security, governance, and operational requirements.

Strong hands-on experience with Ansible, including playbook, role, and inventory management.

Proven experience with Git-based version control systems such as GitLab and GitHub.

Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.

Hands-on knowledge of orchestration and automation tools, including Rundeck, Ansible Tower/AWX, or Jenkins.

Strong understanding of YAML, Jinja2 templating, and Python scripting.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.

Automation-focused mindset with an emphasis on scalability, reusability, maintainability, and operational excellence.

Intermediate to advanced Ansible expertise (E2 level or equivalent).

Experience working in enterprise DevOps and Infrastructure Automation environments.
