The Director, Corporate Development will be based in Amsterdam to provide support to the corporate development team in the sourcing and evaluation of a range of strategic deals. This position will report to SVP, Corporate Development (HQ) and dotted line to EMEA Managing Director (Amsterdam).
Primary Responsibilities
- Support and drive strategic initiatives across the spectrum of the corporate development mandate (M&A, JV, Equity Raises, Strategic Plans)
- Identify and evaluate potential opportunities (M&A, JVs)
- Structure and manage projects end to end
- Develop key relationships with industry advisors, such as consultants, bankers, and principals
- Support EMEA Strategy Implementation (Joint effort between EMEA Managing Director and Corporate Development)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong financial evaluation, time management, and project management skills
- Superior attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills in leading teams and coordinating with peers
- Commitment to organizational excellence and constant awareness to seek opportunities for efficiency improvement, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/responsibilities
- Strong and effective team player in working with various disciplines and peer groups; can run the gamut of tasks required to getting a job done
Experience/Education
- 8+ years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking or private equity
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or economics preferred; MBA is a plus
- Strong knowledge and experience in deal execution
- Experience in the Data Center industry, Construction or Real Estate environments is a plus
- Fluent English language requirement; other languages are a plus (French, Spanish, Italian, German)
