Job Description - Early Talent Engineering Program - Mechanical Engineer

You\u0027ll receive leadership training, personal coaching, and network with senior leaders. Through rotational assignments across various locations and business areas, you will develop a broad skill set and prepare for future leadership roles.\n\nThe program will start in September 2026 at the Hengelo site (Netherlands), which is a cornerstone of Eaton\u2019s Medium- \u0026 Low Voltage Solutions in EMEA. The Mechanical Design Engineer will join the Switchgear R\u0026D team and gain hands-on exposure to the design and development of SF6-free medium- and low-voltage switchgear products. The role is designed to build strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering, design standards, and cross-functional collaboration while working under close guidance from experienced engineers. The assignment combines structured learning with practical project work in a manufacturing and customer-focused environment.\n\n \nThe second year of the program will take place in another EMEA country within one of the following disciplines: mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, embedded systems, power electronics, product development, software engineering. Potential locations for the second-year assignment include Ireland, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic or the Netherlands.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Currently possesses, or will have obtained a bachelor\u2019s or master\u2019s degree in mechanical engineering with a graduation date no later than August 2026 \n\u2022 You have max. 1-3 years of professional experience (including any internships) and max. 3 years after graduation.\n\n## Other skills:\n\n\u2022 Effective communication \n\u2022 Proactivity and curiosity \n\u2022 Ability to learn fast and take challenging tasks \n\u2022 Desire to build a leadership career in a multinational company \n\u2022 Flexibility to relocate within the EMEA region during the program \n\nWe offer:\n\n * * Being part of a company that has been in business for more than 100 years, is well known in the industry, and has a major impact on the energy industry.\n * Work in a company with commitment to Inclusion \u0026 Diversity and Sustainability.\n * Comprehensive support throughout the relocation process, both during and after the program, tailored to your rotation.\n * Exclusive learning curriculum designed to bolster your leadership skills.
