Job Description - Electrical/Electronics Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical/Electronics Design Engineer to join our Product Development Group at Ore Energy.

In this role, you will:

Take a key role in designing and developing cutting-edge battery systems and associated components, with a focus on efficiency, performance, and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power electronics and microcontroller-based solutions into product designs, ensuring scalability and manufacturability.
Design and implement communication protocols such as CAN bus, Modbus, and I2C for seamless system integration.
Develop and optimize power electronics circuits for battery systems, including DC/DC converters, inverters, and charging circuits.
Work on prototype development and system validation by testing components and integrated systems in both lab and real-world conditions.
Drive innovation in energy storage by applying knowledge of battery technology and related systems.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
Prepare technical documentation, schematics, and reports to support product development and regulatory approvals.

Your Profile

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, with 1-3 years of industry experience in power electronics or embedded systems.
Strong knowledge of microcontroller programming and integration.
Experience with communication protocols such as CAN bus, Modbus, and I2C.
Proficiency in designing, testing, and troubleshooting power electronics systems.
Familiarity with battery technologies or energy storage systems is a strong plus.
Hands-on experience with validation testing, fabrication, and prototyping techniques.
Comfortable working in both lab and field environments to validate system designs.
Knowledge of safety standards and compliance for electrical and electronics systems is preferred.
