As an Enterprise Architect, you serve as a sparring partner and advisor to Business Owners, Product Managers, Solution Architects, ICT Operations, and other stakeholders. You are capable of providing the most appropriate view of the same reality for various target groups and purposes. You can zoom in and out, ranging from highly conceptual to concrete and detailed. You establish frameworks, develop, improve, and manage design standards. You provide direction in this process and ensure decision-making by our Architecture Board. You act as a connector between different disciplines and departments, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
As an Enterprise Architect IAM / Security at our client, you strengthen the digital resilience of the Netherlands. You develop and monitor a future-proof IAM architecture, ensure secure access and clear roles, and design processes smartly. Within the company, you collaborate extensively with the OT, IT, and customer domains, as well as our colleagues from Corporate Cyber Security. You also collaborate outside the company: with other grid operators, on a sector-wide framework. In doing so, you connect physical and digital access and prepare the company for Zero Trust and non-human identities.
A day as an Enterprise Architect IAM:
You start off at home with a strong coffee and immediately dive into the latest sketches for the IAM target architecture for IT and OT.
Afterwards, you go to the office, and around ten o'clock you brainstorm with fellow architects about the roadmap towards 2030 and determine which choices today really make a difference.
During lunch, enjoy the view of Rotterdam from the 18th floor or take a lunch walk through the city with your colleagues.
In the afternoon, you guide agile teams and advise management on priorities, while closely monitoring the coherence between solutions.
You wrap up the day with a sector meeting on IAM architecture and then walk straight to Blaak station — within a few minutes you are already back on the train home.
Full speed ahead with the enterprise architecture team
You work in a team of around 16 enterprise architects where the atmosphere is down-to-earth, sharp, and sociable. Naturally, there is also plenty of laughter between brainstorming sessions. You effortlessly alternate working from home with days when you can easily find each other at the office. We maintain a 50-50 policy: you work 50% of your time from home and the other 50% at the office, mostly at the Rotterdam Blaak location.

Very good communication and advisory skills in both Dutch and English, and strong in translating concepts into frameworks and drafting recommendations.
It is an advantage if you are able to start quickly (part-time).
Location: Rotterdam
Good to know: In principle, you work 40 hours per week. Working 32 or 36 hours is also an option.
