Job Description - EU ETS Sales Trader

As OTC Flow progresses towards establishing itself as the market leader in the environmental commodity sector, we are actively seeking experienced Sales Traders to join our expanding team in Amsterdam. Our mission is to provide our global partners with access to renewable energy markets and to assist them in achieving their sustainability goals in an informed and intelligent way. Our network of partners is ever-growing and includes key players in the industrial, (semi)-governmental, and utility spaces.


 


About the job


As a Senior Trader at OTC FLOW B.V., your primary responsibility will be the identification, development, implementation, and execution of trading strategies. We are looking for an experienced trader with an entrepreneurial and innovative character to develop cutting-edge trading strategies. You will help OTC flow to reach the next level.



Main Responsibilities



  • Identification of new trading opportunities;

  • Manage your own client portfolio of players within European ETS and associated products;

  • Understand and identify arbitrage prospects within the EU ETS commodity market to initiate deal flow for your trading portfolio;

  • Development and implementation of trading strategies;

  • Acquire insight into the market landscape, encompassing product expertise, industry obstacles, and shifts in legislation and geopolitics;

  • Collaborate with current traders to broaden trading activities;

  • Apply insight to optimize and rethink automated trading tools.


 


You have



  • 2-6 years of experience in a commercial or industrial environment in a client-facing role;

  • Knowledge of compliance schemes associated with EU ETS-associated products is required;

  • Familiarity with the compliance schemes;

  • Drive to close deals;

  • Knowledge of the heavy industrial space;

  • Entrepreneurial and competitive by nature, and have an analytical approach;

  • Strong team-player skills;

  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or Economics;

  • Fluency in English.
