Executive Vice President (EVP) Finance – Insurance & Investments
About the Role
The Executive Vice President (EVP) Finance is a senior enterprise-level finance executive responsible for providing strategic and operational financial leadership across the Group's insurance, investment, asset management, and related financial services businesses.
The EVP Finance will work closely with the Group CFO, CEO, Board, business-unit CEOs, investment leadership, and senior executives to strengthen financial performance, capital efficiency, profitability, governance, risk management, and long-term enterprise value.
Key Responsibilities
Lead enterprise-wide financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
Provide executive oversight of financial performance across subsidiaries, business units, and investment platforms.
Drive Group-wide FP&A, management reporting, financial modelling, and commercial finance.
Monitor revenue, profitability, expenses, margins, cash flow, ROE, ROIC, and return on capital.
Oversee financial management of insurance operations, including premiums, claims, reserves, reinsurance, underwriting performance, and profitability.
Provide financial leadership for investment and asset management businesses, including portfolio reporting, valuation, investment income, performance analysis, and cost management.
Lead strategic capital planning, capital allocation, solvency, liquidity, and balance-sheet optimization.
Provide executive oversight of treasury, funding, cash management, and liquidity planning.
Establish and strengthen Group-wide financial governance, internal controls, accounting policies, and risk-management frameworks.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, insurance regulations, investment regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
Lead financial evaluation and due diligence for M&A, acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic investments, restructuring, and market expansion.
Partner with the Investment, Actuarial, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Treasury, and Operations functions on major strategic and financial decisions.
Drive enterprise-wide cost optimization, operational efficiency, and profitability improvement.
Lead finance transformation, including ERP modernization, automation, AI/data analytics, dashboards, and digital finance initiatives.
Maintain senior relationships with regulators, auditors, investors, lenders, rating agencies, and other financial stakeholders.
Provide high-level financial advice to the CEO, Group CFO, Board, and Executive Committee.
Build a strong succession pipeline and lead senior finance executives across the organization.
Support the development and execution of the Group's long-term growth and value-creation strategy.

Candidate Profile
18–25+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably within insurance, investment management, asset management, banking, reinsurance, pensions, or diversified financial services.
Extensive experience in enterprise-level, Group, regional, or multi-entity finance leadership.
Previous experience as EVP Finance, Executive Vice President Finance, Group Finance Director, Group CFO, CFO, SVP Finance, Finance Director, Deputy Group CFO, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of insurance finance, investment finance, capital management, treasury, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated experience managing complex organizations with multiple subsidiaries, business lines, and jurisdictions.
Strong commercial understanding of investments, financial markets, capital allocation, and enterprise performance.
Proven track record in M&A, capital raising, strategic investments, restructuring, or major transformation initiatives.
Extensive experience engaging with Boards, CEOs, regulators, investors, auditors, and other senior stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead large, geographically dispersed finance organizations.
Education & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline.
Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent strongly preferred.
Additional qualifications in insurance, investments, risk, actuarial science, or financial management are advantageous.
