Job Description
We are seeking a Level 2 Field Service / Service Support Engineer to support our Smart Energy Solutions division. This role is a dynamic mix of office-based and field-based work (50/50). As part of the Field Support Team, you will assist both customers and colleagues with diagnostics and troubleshooting related to our portfolio of energy storage inverters (PCS) and storage systems. The team is responsible for both preventive and corrective maintenance for B2B clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage service cases through to resolution in our case handling system
Provide support to Level 1 engineers when needed and Escalate complex issues to Level 3 support
Perform remote and on-site diagnostics, troubleshooting, and servicing
Create clear and effective repair instructions
Identify and determine necessary spare parts and Test systems following maintenance or repair
Communicate service outcomes to customers
Occasionally deliver training to Level 1 colleagues, customers, and service partners
Participate periodically in field service to stay current on systems and practices
Report identified product issues to the Quality and Master Service Engineer
Qualifications:
Educational background in electrical maintenance, electrotechnical services, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical field
Good understanding of networking and IT systems
Strong technical, analytical, and diagnostic skills
Experience in service processes from a similar remote support or field service role
Preferably certified for service and maintenance of 690Vac and 1500Vdc electrical systems
A valid Class B driver’s license is a plus
