Job Description

We are looking for a Finance Director to join our management team in the Netherlands. Ultimate responsibility for directing and monitoring all financial and accounting activities, including financial accounting; budgeting and forecasting; preparation and analysis of management accounts; financial reporting (in accordance with Group requirements); management of cash flows; and strategic financial planning.

As a Finance Director, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial and accounting procedures that support the performance of our finance and transformation teams. You will build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with senior managers and their teams. You will lead on financial and resource matters; influence decision-making; improve the understanding of business performance; develop and deliver unit strategy; deliver analysis and insight on business opportunities; and providee options and scenarios for business decisions.

As part of the budget setting process, and with close collaboration with the NL management team (MT), you will be responsible leading the processfor the headcount planning and forecasting as well as monitoring the productivity and efficiency of the resource base through the time recording and management systems.

As a Finance Director you will also be responsible for the provision of an accountancy and financial advice service and ensuring that IQ-EQ complies with all relevant accounting standards. You will be providing proactive and innovative financial advice and support to all levels of management on a range of finance functions, including budget setting, budget monitoring, budget planning and project support. You will also work closely with finance colleagues, managers and relevant stakeholders to provide a flexible and effective Finance service that supports and adds value to the organisational needs.

This role has two main areas of responsibilities:

• Finance business partnering: providing robust financial analysis and support to the Netherlands business to unlock value within proper control framework and governance
• Performance management and reporting: coordinating across all stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasting and delivery of result across the full P&L

Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)

• Overall responsibility of the delivery of financial accounting team whose activities include processing, recording, updating and reconciling information and complying with established policies
• Line management of the financial accounting team, including coaching and assisting team members to ensure growth and development, efficiency and effectiveness, in line with best practices
• Lead and manage the budget setting and forecasting process, including headcount/ resource planning
• Continuous resource management through appropriate time recording and management processes
• Support business decision making through robust financial analysis and deep knowledge of financial operation and expertise
• Develop frameworks to guide sales and marketing teams to optimize spending
• Main liaison for the business with other finance functions, such as tax team, etc. to support the development and implementation of financial policies and minimum controls framework
• Identify and measure key success drivers
• Manage and achieve financial targets and objectives
• Provide financial analysis to business unit management as part of both tactical and strategic decisions points
• Support the preparation of both internal and external reports
• Ensure compliance with IQ EQ Group policies and procedures
• Develop close working relationships with senior stakeholders across the Group to ensure alignment of monthly forecast and ensuring accurate delivery of result as per monthly financial forecast
• Guide business towards target delivery through budget control and other business decisions as needed
• Analysis, insight and control of targets and actual performance measures
• Monthly delivery of the business performance pack
• Partner with management and non-finance managers to drive the budgeting process
• Contribute to ad hoc financial projects as required as part of the overall finance function
• Enhance automation through leveraging the accounting and various system (e.g. CRM)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Economics required; MBA preferred
• Strong financial modelling and Excel skills
• Min 10 years experience in a similar business partnering role
• Outstanding knowledge of key finance and management processes, roles and responsibilities
• Good understanding of local legislation in relation to matters such as Tax, Regulatory framework etc in respective jurisdiction; strong analytical skills with a proven track record is a must
• Substantial professional experience in a Financial Services environment, ideally within a global matrix professional services company
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with senior stakeholders.
• Project management skills, including ability to multitask effectively
• Fluent English and Dutch
