Job Description - Finance operations process expert - strategic initiatives

Introduction to the job

As a finance operations process expert for strategic initiatives, you will leverage your strong experience in accounting, control and compliance to improve, standardize and automate our processes, connecting the dots across functions and systems. You will drive strategic initiatives in the accounting processes within Finance Operations, ensuring these are connected flawlessly to the related business processes.

Role and responsibilities

You will join the global Finance Operations team, which is part of the ASML Business Services (ABS) organization, delivering world-class transactional & operational support services organized around E2E processes. The team is responsible for the group accounting, statutory accounting and tax compliance, and records all financial transactions in the area of Sales and Service Accounting, Inventory & Manufacturing Accounting, General Accounting, Treasury and Tax Accounting. It also ensures consolidation for the group and preparation of compliance on country level. In essence, we deliver world class streamlined finance and management accounting process, turning information into data to manage performance and ensure compliance.

As process expert, you are also part of the global Process & Controls team, reporting to the business process owner (BPO), working closely with the Finance Operations teams and experts in Finance and business. You drive and involve yourself in the initiatives on our roadmap.

In this role, you will:

  • Co-create the improvement roadmap and drive related initiatives, with a focus on Sales and Service related processes
  • Define projects and guide project teams
  • Ensure adoption and adherence of the roadmap initiatives
  • Work on continuous improvement through best practices on process, data and technology
  • Work closely with the Finance Operation teams in all regions, the BPOs and business architects
  • Ensure internal controls are embedded in the process and automated with the support of the internal control specialists

Education and experience

  • 8-10 years of relevant working experience `
  • CPA, RA certification
  • Deep understanding of the Record to Report processes including how such processes are supported by state of the art solutions like SAP (ECC, S4HANA)
  • Experience and knowledge from a multinational organization
  • Experience in writing policies and designing process flows
  • Experience with LEAN (Green Belt certified)
