Our client is an independent private equity firm that helps medium-sized and large companies with a head office in the Benelux to achieve their ambitions. We focus on family-owned enterprises and companies with a strong and dedicated management team. Their active portfolio currently consists of 22 portfolio companies in mainly health care, education, digital, and agricultural sectors.

Job Description

This new controller position will help strengthen the processes and systems of the existing finance team. You will help optimize the accounting, financial control, and financial closing processes. You will also be responsible for sustainability reporting (ESG / CSRD) and be involved in various finance transformation projects.

The Successful Applicant

• A degree at a University of applied sciences (HBO) or university (WO) in Business Economics, Accountancy and Control or a similar discipline
• approx. 5-10 years of relevant working experience, background in audit, accounting and/or control
• strong analytical and Excel skills
• experience with IFRS accounting standards
• motivated to be effective in a team but work well independently
• proactive and hands-on attitude with an appetite for complex cases
• experience with consolidation systems (preferably SAP-BPC) is a big advantage
• experience with management remuneration plans is an advantage
• native/fluent written and spoken Dutch is a must
