Job Description - Financial Controller SaaS Scale-up

As our Financial Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role in scaling responsibly. Your insights and accuracy will drive smarter decisions and keep us on course as we grow.

Lead the monthly financial closings process, audits, and financial reporting with full compliance
Own and improve financial controls, risk management, and internal processes
Manage cash flow, working capital, and forecasting with confidence
Oversee revenue recognition and cost allocations in line with accounting standards and the SaaS reporting standards
Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulators
Partner with leadership to provide insights that guide strategic decisions
Work cross-functionally on supporting the budgeting and forecasting process.

Experience with all the work related to the process of the audited annual accounts
5–7+ years of experience in financial control, preferably in scale-ups or tech
Strong understanding of Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS, plus SaaS reporting best practices
Proven success leading audit-ready processes and internal controls
Proficiency in cash flow management and financial tooling
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar (CPA/CMA/CFA is a plus)
Ability to balance precision with pace in a dynamic environment

Bonus if you have

Experience with SaaS metrics and business models
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. Exact, Quickbooks), and tools like Power BI
Comfort working in an international team across time zones
Experiences in working in a VC or PE funded company

Practical details

Location: Hybrid, 2–3 days/week in Rijswijk
