Key responsibilities across the department include managing Capital- and Model‑related ECB on‑site inspections, serving as the delegated model owner for the WB Lending Pricing tool (PricING), driving RWA optimization and scenario analysis, representing WB in various Risk Committees, and providing regulatory expertise to the Front Office.

In your role of Financial Risk Specialist, you will:

  • Analyse and interpret the impact of new RWA‑related regulatory changes and risk model developments, and provide clear, actionable insights to model users and business stakeholders.
  • Engage daily with Front‑Office, Finance, and Risk colleagues to discuss (potential) model behaviour, RWA impacts, and portfolio‑level implications, supporting informed decision‑making.
  • Identify limitations or inconsistencies in the use and application of risk models across portfolios and ensure these are escalated and addressed.
  • Advise model users on relevant policies and regulatory requirements, and support the embedding of these standards into commercial processes and day‑to‑day business activities.
  • Provide expert advise on areas where traditional credit and market risk topics overlap.
  • Deliver data driven insights in portfolio movements to steer front office and forecast RWA movements.
  • Support the delivery of strategic initiatives by gathering external and internal requirements (e.g., regulatory, functional, sustainability) and ensuring timely alignment with key stakeholders such as the WB Lending Tribe, Financial Markets Tribe, PricING squad, and COOR.
  • Monitor structural weaknesses in the regulatory capital framework and RWA calculations, and contribute to developing practical solutions and improvements.
  • Support and manage ECB on‑site inspections and coordinate the remediation and mitigation of the resulting findings and recommendations.
