Freelance 3D Artist - Blender

Open Call for Freelancers: 3D Artist

Random Studio is looking to expand our freelance network with highly organised and technically skilled 3D Artists working in Blender.

You'll work with spatial designers, graphic designers and creative leads to produce highly photorealistic renders and animations that elevate concepts and project presentations.

We're looking for someone with a deep understanding of 3D theory and complete proficiency in Blender.

This is a hybrid freelance role. You can be based in either Amsterdam or Paris and may work with teams across both studios, with a mix of studio-based and remote work depending on the project.

What you will do

• Create photorealistic 3D renders of spatial design concepts for client presentations and project production


• Create CGI animations


• Create 3D assets


• Collaborate closely with creative directors, spatial designers, experience designers, creative technologists and producers


• Occasionally guide junior 3D artists


• Maintain the visual quality of renders from concept to production

What we’re looking for

• High proficiency with Blender is mandatory


• Comfortable with Blender's Geometry Nodes


• Working knowledge of Unreal Engine


• Working knowledge of Rhinoceros 3D


• Familiarity with generative AI


• Solid proficiency with After Effects


• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Substance Painter


• Strong understanding of CGI theory, PBR and procedural shading, screen-based graphics and digital production


• Comfortable in fast-past production cycles


• A proactive, detail-oriented maker who takes pride in precision and craft
