Job Description - Functional Support Engineer

About the Role



We provide mid-office services for our clients (insurers). This is quite a complex entity, as we are talking about administering millions of contracts for millions of customers. Sometimes things don't go as planned, and the first-line support from our client can't provide answers to the more challenging questions that arise. These questions then come to our team of support engineers. These are diverse questions posed by financial specialists, IT (application management, superusers), claims, and acceptance from our clients. This makes the job challenging and varied! Our Team



You will be part of our Business Support Crew and will work with, among others, Rishi, Tatjana, Bart, Mark, and Wouter.


Responsibilities



The functional support also ensures the correct use of the systems and user-friendliness. For instance, by answering questions, providing documentation, and organizing communication. It's a role where you work a lot with people, so social skills are important. However, you also need to speak the language of ICT. You translate the user needs into technical assignments for IT specialists.

What We Expect from You




  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of related work experience.
  • Smart and creative;
  • Good communication skills and keen on helping others;
  • Motivated to make a difference with all your ideas;
  • Excellence over perfection;
  • Professional and proven experience with the use and support of Enterprise functional applications;
  • Professional and proven experience with the use of IT-systems and tools, such as Office 365, Excel, Word, Azure DevOps, Zendesk, FreshWork, or another IT/functional support ticketing system;
  • Familiar with working with Agile/Scrum;
  • Professional level of Dutch in speaking or writing;
  • Intermediate level of English in speaking and writing.
