Job Description - GCP Data Engineer

Help design, build and continuously improve the clients online platform.

Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards.

Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products.

Be a productive member of the team.

Requirements

Design and implement scalable data and cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Develop and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions/Workflows.

Apply cloud architecture, automation, and DevOps best practices.

Design data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration solutions following modern data engineering patterns.

Work with Apache Kafka for messaging, streaming, platform setup, and event-driven architectures.

Design, implement, tune, and operate Google Bigtable solutions.

Develop production-grade applications and data pipelines using Scala and Java.

Conduct technical design reviews and collaborate closely with Data Engineers and Product Teams.

Strong hands-on experience with GCP.

Expertise in Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions/Workflows.

Strong understanding of cloud architecture, automation, and DevOps practices.

Experience designing scalable data solutions on GCP.

Strong knowledge of data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration patterns.

Understanding of modern data platform architectures.

Experience with Apache Kafka, including platform design, administration, and setup.

Knowledge of event-driven architectures.

Hands-on experience with Google Bigtable, including design, implementation, performance tuning, and operations.

Strong programming skills in Scala and/or Java.

Experience developing production-grade applications and data pipelines.

Ability to perform technical design reviews.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience working closely with Data Engineering and Product teams.
