GCP Developer

We are looking for a skilled GCP Developer to join our team and help design, build, and optimise solutions on Google Cloud Platform. This role is ideal for someone with strong cloud development experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and deploy applications and services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Build and manage cloud-native solutions using GCP services such as Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL.
• Develop APIs, microservices, and integrations within a cloud environment.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks to ensure reliable delivery.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to design scalable and secure solutions.
• Ensure solutions follow best practices for performance, security, and cost optimisation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing applications running on GCP.
• Stay up to date with the latest GCP services and industry trends, applying them to ongoing projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proven experience as a Cloud Developer, ideally with a focus on GCP.
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native development, microservices, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build).
• Familiar with security best practices in cloud environments (IAM, VPC, encryption).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• GCP certification (e.g. Professional Cloud Developer, Professional Cloud Architect) is a strong plus.
• Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written) – this is mandatory.
• Fluent in English.
