Take ownership

You will be the go-to financial expert in our team, understanding American banking and financial services on an instinctual & strategiclevel, leading the team to a successful banking license. As hire number four in the US, you will join the EU's leading neobank in bringing the banking revolution to an entirely new user base, having a direct and hands-onimpact on whatbanking will look like 10 years from now, for everyone on either side of the pond. You will take ownership of:

Designing and implemeting scalable finance, treasury and control capabilities .You will build the team, the processes, and the financial tools required to have us succeed inobtaining a banking license and launching bunq US.

Regulatory reporting. You will work closely with Compliance and our COO to ensure that regulators are bunq's partners in this new adventure. You will set the scene and lead the process to obtain our banking license, and manage our relationship with regulators after the fact.

Tech and banking collaboration. You will turn you knowledge of US banking into direct input to influence our technical strategy, defining the steps in the journey to carve our place in the space.

Trusted Partner to the CEO . You will serve as a leader and advisor to the company's CEO and senior management to guide, grow and build the trust and devotion of our customer base, partners, regulators and employees in the US.

You have intrinsic knowledge oftreasury processes , from establishing them to optimizing their existence.

You know the ins and outs of international regulatory reporting (ICAAP/ILAAP).

You have taken a company through an IPO, and know how to build strategic & scalable design of banking processes to take us there.

You have designed strategic actionables within financial services , and understand tech's place in them.

You have been part of international banking institutions, leading the building, launching, and managing of new branches and teams.

You have partnered with FinTech neobanks before, andshare our belief thattechnology is the way to enhance the banking experience of the future.

You want to be part of a landing team that is getting things done - you're not scared of getting your hands dirty.

You are willing to commute to our offices inNYC and AMS when necessary.

How do you become a bunqer? It all starts with a few quick tests that allow us to determine if bunq is a fit for you. If the results show that we’re a match on these fronts, we take it a step further and explore specific roles together. Before we decide on making you an offer, you’ll get a chance to show your skills on your Get Shit Done day.

To kick off your application, we’ll first help you check if bunq is the right environment for you to succeed. Our bunq assessment takes approximately 30 minutes and includes 2 tests: an abstract reasoning test and a personality test (MBTI). If we match here, we’ll move on to the next test - this is related to your skills, and differs per role.
