As the Maintenance Strategy and Planning Lead, you will architect operational efficiency and reliability for over 60 facilities worldwide. In this high visibility role, your strategic leadership will drive maintenance excellence and embed a culture of continuous improvement across our global footprint. By defining standards and spearheading asset management, you will optimize safety and performance on a global scale. As our central Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will empower plants and markets to achieve world class reliability, sustainability, and cost effectiveness.

The delivery of a maintenance strategy program will be your primary responsibility. You’re constantly looking for improvement activities within the maintenance field.

Maintenance Global Strategy and Policies

• Implement the global Asset Management strategy. (Sets the foundation)

• Review existing maintenance policies to align with industry best practices, strategic goals, and regulatory requirements, while monitoring the effectiveness of maintenance policies globally.

• Develop and implement new maintenance policies for MRO, asset management, and PM transactions to address emerging challenges.

• Communicate maintenance policies effectively to all personnel involved in maintenance activities.

• Lead the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program to maximize equipment uptime and optimize costs.

• Conduct RCM assessments for critical equipment and assets.

• Support the development of RCM-based maintenance plans.

• Develop the strategy and focus on the annual maintenance budgeting process.

• Revise KPIs and targets to support the annual routine setting process.

• Support the analysis, evaluation, and approval of capital projects for asset replacement.

• Identify and develop new digital solutions to support CMMS transactions across all sites.

• Define MRE team structures and propose adaptations based on site size and asset volume.

• Perform field checks, coaching, forums, and workshops to develop site-level teams.

• Provide technical support for large-scale emergency failures at sites.

• Support the KHMS MRE pillar initiatives.

Hard Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or Operations Management.

• 8+ years in manufacturing operations with a proven track record of scaling global maintenance and reliability programs.

• Asset Management Mastery: Advanced knowledge of ISO 55000 standards and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies.

• CMPR / CRL Certification

• Technical Systems: User level in SAP CMMS/PM (Project Management & Maintenance modules).

• Experience in Opex/Capex budgeting and life cycle cost analysis for large scale asset replacement.

• Certified expertise in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar systematic improvement frameworks.

• Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise cross functional global teams

• Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable maintenance strategies.

• Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between shop floor technical teams and executive leadership.

Being able to efficiently communicate with your project team will ensure everyone is of the same understanding regarding project expectations and status.
