Grant Writer

In your role as Grant Writer, you will help us better secure, oversee, and assist with the preparation, submission, and follow-up of proposals for various EU and Dutch innovation programs, such as Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, EIC, NWO, and RVO schemes.
You will collaborate closely with the senior grant writer, the technical and commercial teams, business development, and compliance departments. Together, you will make sure that proposals satisfy administrative and scientific standards, fit into our R&D roadmap, and represent our goals for quantum hardware, algorithms, and systems integration.

This position is highly recommended for someone who wants to advance in innovation management, science communication, and project coordination in a cutting-edge technology field and has strong writing and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, coordinate and support in grant applications and project proposals, covering technical content, impact narratives, and administrative sections.


• Gather input from engineers, researchers, and external partners to support strong, coherent proposal writing and submissions.


• Contribute to consortium-building, budgeting, and internal coordination to align projects with the company’s strategic roadmap.


• Identify, track, and maintain overviews of relevant funding programs, calls, and missions in quantum, photonics, and high-tech systems.


• Manage proposal timelines, documentation, and reporting to ensure high-quality and timely submissions.


• Support communication, compliance, and follow-up with funding bodies throughout project lifecycles.

Profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (science, engineering, innovation management, or related).


• Experience in writing and managing national and/or EU-funded R&D proposals.


• Strong analytical and writing skills with the ability to translate complex technologies into clear, persuasive narratives.


• Familiarity with quantum technologies, photonics, or advanced hardware development is a strong advantage.


• Organized, proactive, and collaborative—comfortable working in multidisciplinary, fast-moving environments.


• Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
