At PRESSROOM, our vibrant restaurant at INK Hotel Amsterdam - MGallery, we're on the lookout for a passionate and hands-on Head Chef with strong leadership skills. Do you thrive in an open kitchen, love curating flavor-driven dishes, and have a drive to lead a dedicated team? Then this might just be the next chapter in your culinary story.

Your Role: The Script

As Kitchen Chef, you lead a close-knit team of around seven colleagues, ensuring seamless service across breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our à la carte restaurant. From our open kitchen, you’ll not only deliver high-quality dishes but also provide an engaging and professional experience for our guests.

You’re calm under pressure, maintain a spotless workspace, and fully adhere to all HACCP regulations. Beyond the restaurant, you’ll also oversee meals for In-Room Dining and two intimate meeting rooms—bringing your creativity to life through custom menus tailored to special requests.

Sharing your knowledge and supporting your team’s growth comes naturally to you. You’re detail-oriented, keep mise-en-place under control, and communicate clearly about inventory needs. In short: you lead by example.

Who We’re Looking For: Tick the Box

You’re a strong fit for the Kitchen Chef position if you:

• Hold a culinary degree from a recognized institution;

• Have substantial leadership experience in a similar (open kitchen) environment;

• Are experienced in ordering, receiving, and working with fresh ingredients;

• Are available to work weekdays and weekends;

• Can work a flexible schedule, with early shifts starting from 6:00 or 7:00;

• Are skilled in varied cooking techniques and cuisines;

• Hold a Leermeester certificate (a plus);

• Have a solid understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations
