Job Description - Head of Sales

Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Sales to lead our growing European sales organization. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for building and executing a high performance sales strategy that drives revenue growth, expands market share, and strengthens customer relationships. This role requires deep industry insight, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in B2B technical sales, ideally in the additive manufacturing or industrial sectors.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement a scalable sales strategy to drive growth across key verticals and geographies.
  • Lead, build out and coach the sales team (currently 4 FTE) to meet and exceed targets, including pipeline generation, conversion, and retention.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with enterprise customers, partners, and key accounts.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales initiatives with broader business objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new market opportunities.
  • Own forecasting, sales planning, performance analysis, and reporting metrics.
  • Drive CRM optimization and ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Represent Shapeways at trade shows, industry conferences, and client meetings.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of B2B sales experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in technical or manufacturing sales
  • Strong understanding of the European industrial and manufacturing landscape.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Data savvy with a hands-on approach to pipeline management and sales analytics.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload and perform in a fast paced, goal orientated environment.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch or other European languages are a plus.
