As an Environmental HSE Advisor, you will make a significant contribution to the further development of environmental and sustainability policy within the organization. You will support the organization with various environmental issues and play a key role in processing CSRD-related data and reports. This temporary position offers an excellent opportunity for a junior or mid-level professional to gain experience within an organization at the heart of the energy transition.
You are part of a team of four direct colleagues focusing on environmental and sustainability issues. There is intensive collaboration within the team, and ample opportunity to learn, share knowledge, and further develop yourself.
Your duties include, among other things:
• Collecting, structuring, interpreting, and submitting CSRD-related waste and material data from projects for the annual Integrated Report.
• Collaborate with the data expert on processing and validating data.
• Maintaining contact with contractors and other stakeholders regarding waste and material flows.
• Drafting, managing, and updating the environmental aspects register in accordance with ISO 14001.
• Assist with audits and other activities within the environmental management system.
• Advising project teams and internal stakeholders on environmental and sustainability issues.
• Identifying opportunities for improvement in waste management, circularity, and material reuse.
• Contribute to process improvements, work instructions, and information provision.
• Supporting environment-related components within the Sustainability Roadmap.
What are you bringing?
Education & Background
• Completed higher professional or university degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Soil Science, or a similar environmental field.
• A background in the environment is a strict requirement for this position.
• Junior or mid-level work experience appropriate for a supporting advisory role within environment, sustainability, or HSE.
Experience & Knowledge
• Affinity with a wide range of environmental topics.
• Knowledge of current environmental laws and regulations.
• Affinity with sustainability, circularity, and waste streams.
• Knowledge of or experience with ISO 14001 is a plus.
• Experience with construction or infrastructure projects is a plus.
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
• In possession of a B driving license.
Practical information
• Location: Arnhem / Hybrid
• Scope: 32 - 40 hours per week
• Period of deployment: temporary replacement due to maternity leave, therefore start as soon as possible.
• Hybrid working possible.
• Fixed office days: Monday and Tuesday or Wednesday.
