Infrastructure Engineer

Important for us and for our customers, and we constantly act accordingly.Upon entering the office you start up your equipment and meanwhile you walk to the coffee machine. You have a chat with a colleague and return to your workplace. You say good morning in chat so that your colleagues who work elsewhere know you are available. Your colleagues working at home do the same. After checking some mail and possibly resolving the first service desk notification, we have a stand-up meeting. We discuss notable issues and move on to the day-to-day management and support of our users. Rolling out a new server, installing a new printer on the system or figuring out how to make our environment even more stable is among the possibilities and is sometimes interrupted by an outage, now one with a high priority. We see in our monitoring tools that an application is not functioning properly. To fix it now we restart that task, but to prevent problems in the future we suggest some improvements.
Once every 6 weeks we perform major maintenance on our systems. Our users cannot use our services at that time. Our team goes to work installing all kinds of updates that normally bother our users. Think of the firewalls, switches, HW updates, OS updates, etc. Occasionally we also install or replace new hardware or make other changes.

• MBO working and thinking level (MBO ICT administrator level 4)
• Experience with some of these components; Windows 2022, On-premise Exchange, Linux (Ubuntu), Azure, Microsoft 365, PowerShell, AWK, Kubernetes, Docker, Brocade, Cisco, HPE.
• Able to work as a team player
• Stress resistance
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages
